Eras Tour Looks

Most who know me well know that I love Taylor Swift. I am finally posting a project that I spent a couple months over the summer working on. Given that I recently saw the Eras Tour movie, and with Taylor hopefully announcing the release date of her version of Reputation soon, I figured this was the perfect time to finally post. 😊 I sadly wasn't able to attend the actual concert tour, but I came up with an outfit representing each Taylor album (or "era"). Here are some ideas of what I would have worn, had I had the opportunity to attend the tour in person.

1) Taylor Swift:

Truth be told, I didn't become a Taylor Swift fan until the 1989 era, so I wasn't quite sure what to wear for this original era. I went with this dress and choker with a treble clef pendant. I thought overall the look was a bit reminiscent of the early 2000s, when Taylor first entered the scene. And I didn't have to do my hair - I have natural curls like Taylor. 😄

2) Fearless:

I love this album (it's probably my favorite of Taylor's early albums), and Love Story is one of the songs I always think of. This top seemed princess-y and Juliet-like to me. I added an old-fashioned-looking pendant to make it look a bit more old-world.

3) Speak Now:

I think of Taylor in her bright purple dress when I picture this album. This dress has a similar tone and feel. I picture Taylor rocking a curly ponytail a lot in this era, so that's what I went with for my hairstyle. I added butterfly earrings to enhance the magical, "Enchanted" vibe. ☺️

4) Red:

I think of the "22" music video when I picture Taylor in her "Red" era. I just so happen to have a lot of the components that make up this look, hat included! Unfortunately, my red sunglasses are not heart-shaped, but they're close enough! I made up for it with fuzzy red heart earrings. 😆

5) 1989:

Taylor wore black thigh-high boots, miniskirts, and bomber jackets on her 1989 tour. I happen to have all of these items in my wardrobe, so I threw them all together. 🤗 I actually love this look and plan to wear this outfit out sometime!

6) Reputation:

I actually went to the Reputation tour, and this is the outfit that I wore! To me, it was perfect - the lips and snakes of course remind me of the "Look What You Made Me Do" music video. (I've also included some pictures from my actual look I wore to the concert in 2018. 😎)

7) Lover:

This album is my favorite Taylor album. To me, it represents the full range of her creativity and versatility more than any of her other works. I had planned on hopefully going to see her in concert again after the release of this album in 2019, but many unfortunate and tragic events happened - for myself and many others. But before I knew this tour was not to be, I started planning what I would wear (and that early planning inspired this blog post). This blouse was an easy choice; to me, baby blue and hearts represent the album well. Taylor also has a pink sparkly heart painted around her eye on the cover, so to achieve a similar affect, I added sunglasses - I just couldn't decide which pair better replicated the look...

8) Folklore:

I went for full-on cottage core with this look, and of course, I had to wear a cardigan. I did a simple braided updo and kept my makeup simple, like Taylor did in photos from this era.

9) Evermore:

This was the perfect opportunity to wear my plaid coat, since Taylor wears one on the cover. I also love this green dress I scored last year at a boutique in Savannah and felt it went well with the overall look. And I of course had to french-braid my hair. (Well, my mom did it for me - I cannot french-braid, lol.) I kept my makeup simple for this look as well, keeping with the general cottage-core vibe.

10) Midnights:

I get an overall 70's vibe from this album, so I figured these dark flares would work well. I added a sparkly blue sweater that to me is a bit reminiscent of the blue tones on the album cover (namely, Taylor's eyeshadow, which I also replicated). A cat eye, cat smoking slippers, and a clock purse (set to midnight 🙃) completed the look.

I had such a fun time putting this post together, and I promise to wear all of these outfits out in real life at some point! 😄
